Log a payment

Logging payments is what keeps your balances and your debt-free date honest. It takes a few seconds.

Two ways to log one

From the debt list

1. Go to the Debts tab.
2. Swipe left on any debt.
3. Tap the green Log Payment button.

From the debt’s detail screen

1. Tap a debt to open its details.
2. Tap Log Payment.

Either way, enter the amount, the date, the payment type and any notes. PayoffPilot calculates your new balance for you.

Payment types

• Regular Payment: your typical payment.
• Extra Payment: more than your minimum.
• Windfall/Bonus: a tax refund, a bonus, or another large payment.
• Minimum Only: a month where the minimum is all you could do.

Edit a debt

If a balance, rate or minimum changes, open the Debts tab, tap the debt, tap Edit in the top-right, make your changes and tap Save.
