Common questions
Snowball or Avalanche: which should I pick?
Snowball clears your smallest balances first, so the wins come quickly. Avalanche targets the highest interest rate first and costs less overall. The Compare tab runs both against your real numbers side by side.
How do I log a payment?
Swipe left on any debt in the Debts tab and tap Log Payment, or open the debt and tap Log Payment there. The new balance is worked out for you.
I’m not getting payment reminders.
A reminder needs a due date on the debt, and notifications turned on in iPhone Settings under PayoffPilot. A due date that has already passed will not schedule one.
Where is my data stored?
On your device. There is no account and no server behind the app. The only way anything leaves your phone is a PDF you export and share yourself.
